tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138458.post6073754981915642142..comments2024-02-23T13:15:42.158+13:00Comments on Dissecting Leftism: JRhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00829082699850674281noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138458.post-72944182880893686962016-03-14T07:22:16.060+13:002016-03-14T07:22:16.060+13:00Of course Trump supporters aren't authoritaria...Of course Trump supporters aren't authoritarian, the author of that paper is one of the people who have been fooled into thinking that authoritarianism is a sign of the right when the truth is it is the predominant sign of the left.<br /><br />We have long been sold the incorrect idea that the far right is authoritarian and that the far left is also authoritarian and that it is the middle which is not but the true difference is that the far right is anarchism (no guiding authority for individuals) while the far left is absolute authoritarianism (no freedom for individuals). <br /><br />Therefore by definition, the further right you are the less you accept outside authority while the farther left you are the more you accept outside (or governmental) authority.<br /><br />Understanding this, makes it clear the whole exercise of checking Trump followers for authoritarianism versus the followers of other Republican candidates was a waste of effort. For that effort to have been worthwhile they should have compared them to the followers of Bernie Sanders, that would have shown a noticable result (and of course embarrassed the powers that be who don't want you to notice who is really the authoritarians).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
